The Internet's too fast for Twitter
Twitter has been enjoying plenty of press coverage lately. Is Google buying Twitter? Is Microsoft? By the time the dust settles, it'll be too late, as the Web 2.0 crowd is already moving on to the next big thing: Flutter.
Comment: Yes, it is, but...
It is nothing than a reductio-ad-absurdum of society's need for instant gratification combined with people's desire for attention being expressed in the form of "too much information"!
Comment: Fahrenheit 451
Sounds like Fahrenheit 451 to me! Pretty soon we'll be reduced to only the words like and dude... =)
Comment: Better Yet - TLA
You can see how everything is being dumbed down to the lowest common denominator - Twitter to Flutter to Shudder. Fewer and fewer characters. So here is the ultimate - TLA - where everything in the entire universe of human communication is reduce to a three-letter acronyms. This seems to be the next logical step since we already have a great deal of experience with TLAs. FWIW, for the TLA-challenged community, I propose to allow a few selective FLAs - four letter acronyms which, IMHO, would be an acceptable standard under the Americans With Disabilities Act (AWDA or ADA - you make the call :>)!
Comment: I think you misheard
It's not Shudder, it's "Shutter without the vowel" :)
Comment: Does anybody really know what time it is?
Does anybody really know what time it is? Does anybody really care what you're doing every minute of every day? Your life is just not that interesting-- and I don't care if you're going to the dry cleaner's before you pick up lunch.
.
I don't tweet. I don't IM. If you want to communicate with me, send email-- it's more than fast enough, and if I'm around, I'll answer. If not, it'll wait until I am. Plus, it leaves footprints.

Comment: Flutter
This has to have been released on April Fools Day.
Comment: flutter ...
they like to break things down into "flaps", as in "cow flaps".
BOGP - a little god P to go with the "cow flaps"
Comment: Binary is best
I prefer binary communication, myself. All you really need are zeros and ones. Think about it.

Comment: *blink*
Okaaay... this has obviously got to be a joke.
