Recently, our company decided a certain remote control utility was "too powerful" for IT to use (sounds like female clothing from the early 20th century). I have a need to connect to a PC while it is logged in running a powerpoint presentation. The only tool allowed (currently) is NetMeeting.

Ripped Off Or Ripping Off?

Just finished up 5 hours of PC Antispyware 2010 removal from a coworker's personal machine. At my usual $35 an hour, it should've cost her $175, but I decided to charge her $20 an hour ($5 an hour less than last time I removed spyware, and she gladly paid me).

How do I turn Flashplayer back on

Maybe I'm turning into a floundering user in my old age but I took the CW advice to turn off Flashplayer until the security hole was fixed and can't remember how to turn it back on now that I've upgraded it. Thanks.

Computer Novice Screw Up

OK, not sure where to file this, but am HUGE fan of Mr Horowitz and hope he can keep me from putting a loaded gun to my computer.

I installed Process Explorer and Process Monitor after discovering my CPU was running at 100%. According to both, I have about 5,000 (I stopped counting at 30)svchost.exe's running along with 15-20 IE Explorer programs.

Missing files?

So we have every user set up with a mapped folder on the server and many people saved documents there for more security and because it is backed up at night.

About a month ago we set up Roaming User Profiles as well.

One user was gone for a couple days and left their computer logged in and locked to allow Outlook to keep downloading their messages.
