Which is the best system? Don't forget to give reasons why :)

Comment:  For me personally i like the

For me personally i like the Wii the best. it has brought back the fin of gaming. and what other system do you know that your grandma can pick up and play after only seconds of telling her how to play ? My second choice is the 360. I have had mine since launch and am still loving it. at Christmas timeI added the Hd-dvd upgrade to it and wow amazing picture quality.

Comment:  PS3 rpg, Xbox games, Wii multiplayer

It's hard to choose. I would say PS3 for the rpgs (final fantasy!). Xbox because it has a great selection of action and racing games. And finally the Wii, when you want to play with friends. In my opinion, all these consoles bring something great :)

Comment:  XBox360 -> WII -> PS3

I've had an XBox360 for almost a year now and I use it primarily as a Media Center Extender. I've got a 62" HDTV and the only thing hooked to it is the 360. I've a Media Center in another room that handles tv, mp3 and video and the 360 drives the HDTV automatically for whatever I want. I occasionally play games, but not very often. When I want to watch a DVD or HDVD I use the 360 or the external HD-DVD drive. The 360 automatically handles any conversion issues with my HDTV.

The first time I walk into a store and see a Wii there, I will buy it. I won't pre-order it, but I'll probably impulse-buy it when I see it. It just seems more "fun" than the other two next-gen consoles.

From a technical perspective I can't see really see much of a difference between the PS3 or 360. The Wii doesn't have the raw power of the other two consoles, but wins high points on novelty and innovation.

I see no reason at this time to buy a PS3. I can come up with a lot better things to do with the money.

Comment:  My personal favorite

I have both the 360 and PS3. Since the PS3 arrived my 360 has been relegated to paper weight duty and the occassional zombie massacre in Dead Rising.

After playing both it's apparent that the PS3 has the brighter future because of its various options and power. Plus the online is free. I don't pay hundreds of dollars just to pay hundreds of dollars more to access a feature that's advertised on the box.

Granted, it would be nice if the PS3 could access my PC files and work as a go between.

I'm getting a Wii as soon as I can, my Girl and my Goddaughter are all about it.

Comment:  I really like the Wii

I hate to admit it, but I bought the Wii not more than a month ago after my boss talked about how much he enjoyed it. Being 35 years old, I didn't think I would really like it that much but with two young kids, I thought it might get them interested in some video games. After a month of playing, it almost reminds me of what the mall arcade used to be like with all the different games that require more than just button mashing. The bowling and golf games are a BLAST and I highly recommend the Wii to anyone with kids, even those at 3 yrs old.

Comment:  Wii = best for casual gamer

I think the Wii is probably the best system for the casual gamer, especially at the $250 price point. I know a lot of people who normally don't play video games get hooked on Wii Sports. PS3 has the technology, but the games aren't there yet for the system. XBOX360 has the XBOX Live and quite a few games going for it (e.g. Gears of War, Guitar Hero II with downloadable songs)

Comment:  The Wii could be fun...the xbox is best

The Wii is a novelty. It would be fun for parties, and for the occasional game...but realistically, I really don't want to stand in front of the tv and swing a controller every time I play a ame.

The Xbox 360 has Microsoft backing it, and a ton of games available. They really did it right when they built Xbox Live. I've been a member of Xbox Live for a few years now, and it amazes me to sit on my couch and play a game against someone in another city. It also always has people ready to play at a moment's notice.

PS3? The online play just isn't there. It's $200 more. Yes, the machine itself is higher powered--but the games just aren't there yet. They are no better than Xbox 360 games.

Comment:  PS3

I'd say the PS3 is the best as it can easily play import games as well as ps2 and ps1. It has a $600 blu-ray drive in it, and it is priced cheaper than a similar pc as it has a great video card and processor. The system can easily change the hdd as well so you could have a nice 500gb hdd and nice hardware to go with linux or mac osx to make the ultimate non-windows cpu. That's why I like it, it's a cheap extreme computer with wireless, so I can actually use the net for games.

Comment:  Wii is my favorite so far

Wii is my favorite so far just because to me it's something that is really different. I like the others, but the new movement with the Wii has even enabled my husband to start playing which is a huge plus for me.
